Ratings and requests for retrial (1x4)
:
Ena (Nagasawa Masami) has planned to broadcast footage of interviews with the victims' families and other people involved in the case on Friday Bonbon. Ena's "surprise attack", which even Takuro (Maeda Go Atsushi) was unaware of, stunned Murai (Okabe Takashi) and the other staff. After the programme goes on air, Ena is severely reprimanded by Nagoshi (Kondo Koen) for arbitrarily airing a VTR that was deemed inappropriate for broadcast. On the other hand, the response to the special feature was bigger than they had imagined... Ena and her team next focus on a crucial eyewitness testimony, which was also a decisive factor in the arrest of the culprit. The witness, Tadashi Nishizawa, is reluctant to give an interview that Ena and the others have requested, and Takuro feels that Nishizawa's words are somehow fishy. Just then, Ena is told by her lawyer Kimura (Seiji Rokkaku) of a shocking revelation about Matsumoto, a prisoner on death row (Shojiro Kataoka).
