Bernstein conducts examples of early concertos - Bach's Fifth Brandenburg Concerto and Vivaldi's Concerto in C major. From the classical period, he conducts Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante and, finally, the fourth and fifth movements of Bartok's neo-classical Concerto for Orchestra.
