When a homeless man is found incinerated, Bill and Charlie investigate. The prime suspect is a patient of Maxine's, Alistair who was seen by an intoxicated witness, earlier on the night he was killed. Meanwhile Maxine is in the middle of dealing with Alistair's friend, Josh, whose abusive father is furious at Maxine for intercepting their family troubles.
