Bes is captured with one of the Khivi (the so-called "volunteer assistants" of the Wehrmacht, recruited from the local population in the occupied territories of the USSR and Soviet). Run away from the village. The Germans are chasing them. Khivi is killed, but Bes manages to escape. In a depressed state, Lydia leaves the hospital - she was forbidden to return to the regiment. In her native village, a pilot with an order on her chest arrives at the plant, where she makes a speech at a rally. Lydia's mother complains that everyone perceives her daughter as a soldier's wife, a field-field wife. The demon is being watched by Soviet soldiers. When he explains who he is, they contact the air regiment and send him there for investigation. Terentyev claims that Bes was deliberately lost and sold himself to the Germans. Evgenia persuades the regiment commander to let her go to the square where his plane fell in order to find Ilya's military ID, thereby proving his innocence.
