Georg Wilsberg receives an order from Torsten Schmitt to shade his wife Elvira because of an alleged affair. And in fact Wilsberg watches Elvira as she enters a hotel with a man. A normal job if it weren't for a killer checking in at this very hotel in Münster under the wrong name to murder Elvira. In a fake handover, he shoots Elvira, but his second victim, Elvira's partner, can escape. In front of the hotel, Commissioner Overbeck runs over the killer during a business trip and comes to the hospital seriously injured.
