Six years after the Jingkang incident in 1202, in the village of Niu Family (牛家村). It is snowing thick and fast. The sworn brothers Guo Xiaotian and Yang Tiexin are drinking and eating, while Qiu Chuji, a daoshi and one of the Seven True Daoists of Quanzhen sect, comes to their door carrying a bag. They invite Qiu Chuji to join them.
