Editor-in-chief of the daily Grand Ouest, Valéry Prat announces his suicide "on the front page" before throwing himself from the sixth floor of his office. A sordid staging that soon reveals a real crime. Prat had not only made friends on the paths to glory. Resentful collaborators, duped partners, collateral victims of his editorial choices: all had a good reason to get rid of a journalist too cumbersome before he joined Paris to found his own magazine.
