Slim, who has a deep affection for 16-year-otd Laurlnda Tatum, is shocked when her mother, Kate, is jailed for cheating at cards. Slim and the other Longhorn cowboys are convinced that a nice lady like Kate couldn't be a crooked gambler. Although she has. been jailed on the testimony of her alleged victims, two of Spanlsh Wells' leading citizens, the youths set out to prove her innocence.
