It's Saturday night, but CID are at work trailing a known criminal suspected of burglary. D.C. Carver could be in trouble if the operation is a failure. Meanwhile, W.D.C. Martella is after the man responsible for a series of artifice burglaries involving pensioners, but finds herself locked in a room by one of the victims.
