Anto is back, and he's keeping a close watch on Seán and Colm. He's suspicious that Colm has money, and threatens Seán to tell him everything. Tadhg is dumbfounded when Maggie, his first love reveals the real reason she was sent away fifty years ago, and why their romance was broken off as a result. Laoise can't help but question the validity of her 'relationship' with Eric when she sees how loved up and openly affectionate David and Gráinne are with each other in public. Laoise is tired of sneaking around with Eric, but she worries that he's enjoying the secrecy a little too much.
