The qualifying round for the final race, the Japanese Grand Prix. Hayato is performing well, setting a high time. Kaga, on the verge of fainting in ZERO territory, musters his strength, but then he sees an old rival and crashes. Kaga wakes up in a hospital room and, staggering, tries to return to the pit.
