The Red Hand Gang

There is news of a kidnapping of a young boy in the papers. Lil’ Bill sees a face at a window, and he is convinced it is the missing boy. With no help from the police, the gang decide to trail the female member of the kidnappers to their hideout.

Frankie trails the female kidnapper across town in the hope of finding the kidnappers' hideout. The woman leads him to an old deserted 'haunted' house. With the kidnappers' ransom plan underway, the gang make attempts to enter the house.

The Gang gain entry to the old deserted house that the kidnappers are using as their hideout, and they begin to understand why it is thought to be haunted. On locating the whereabouts of the boy, the gang start to put their rescue plan into action.

The gang decide to use the 'haunted’ house to their advantage and they attempt to scare the kidnappers out of it. The kidnappers appear restless and they become aware there are more than just ghosts in the house.

The kidnappers lock the Red Hand Gang in their den and make plans to move the boy to another secret location. The children in the neighbourhood join forces to track down the getaway van, which had been previously tagged with the gang's logo.

The Red Hand Gang uncover a plot to rob a charity jewellery auction by kidnapping the celebrity auctioneer and replacing him with a lookalike; they need to stop the criminals before they steal the valuable 'Black Star'.

Under the close watch of crooked auction security, the Red Hand The gang get tricked into a room which is locked behind them. The fake jewel is discovered and the gang are blamed for the theft. Joanne must prove her Uncle's innocence.

The Red Hand Gang go in search of the jewel cutter who has been employed by the crooks to split the 'Black Star'. The gang do their very best to irritate the jewel cutter, who appears to lose his sanity, leaving him incapable of completing the task.

Joanne attempts a call, and the gang discuss a rescue mission. They manage to free OK Okins, but the crooks are suspicious and let guard dogs loose in the yard. Under Doc's supervision, the children devise a plan to escape and stop the crooks.

When the gang visits the old farm with their friend Holly, a deaf girl, they find that a chimpanzee named Maxwell has been taught the sign language that Holly knows. He was taught the hand signals by two crooks who plan to use him in a big robbery.

The gang follow the crooks' truck to the museum that they intend to rob. The gang's plan to prevent the robbery works this time, but the crooks intend to revisit museum. Desperate measures are in order, and the gang return to the animal reserve.

After taking the ape, the Red Hand Gang soon discover they have the wrong one. By this time the crooks have returned to the museum, and the robbery is well underway. The children are too late, they will have to catch up with the thieves.
