Mikki vs the World

Mikki is confused…is she having a crush on Mo? And “The Feels”, a 60s doo whoop group, keeps popping up everywhere. What’s that about? Luckily, she has her bestie TV personality, Osher Gunsberg, to talk it over with.

While Mikki is very excited by a new online purchase, Mo thinks she is taking lots of unnecessary risks and being reckless in the office. To get to the bottom of this Mikki gets Extreme Games gold medallist Jackson Strong on the blower.

Office pet, Marjory Mofax, has been ill for a while with a fungal disease. When her sudden death really upsets Mo, he gets a visit from the Sad Panda. Mikki needs to cheer up her bestie but first she must understand what being sad is all about. She gets a little help from comedian, Dilruk Jayasinha.

Mo signs Mikki up for a karaoke competition which sends her into an anxiety spiral. She just loves singing but – plot twist! - doesn’t want to sing in front of her friends, family or any cool teenagers. Mikki is a bit addicted to her phone, trying to get likes and shares is ruling her life, and not in a good way. She has even started to troll sister Daphne which Mo really doesn’t think is cool. Mikki needs to investigate why she loves her phone so much and calls bestie musician and gaming streamer, Montaigne, to talk it out.

Mo is struggling with defining his identity: can he like more than one thing at a time? Mikki and Mo have a new neighbour: a cool psychology streamer named Doc Daphne who has it all, including actual clients. Mikki is feeling very threatened, and it doesn’t help that Daphne is her sister. To understand why she is reacting this way, she reaches out to pop stars, The Veronicas, to dish up all things sisterly.

Mikki and Mo are having a great morning until Mo spills water on his pants and it looks like he’s wet himself. Cue the SHAME PAPARAZZI! They stick around all day with their big book of shame getting Mikki and Mo to remember every shameful experience they have ever had. Both Mikki and Mo have to learn how to deal with cringey memories and who else than comedian, Nazeem Hussain, to get to the bottom of it?

Mikki and Mo are excited to play their first ever gig with their new band but the drummer has quit on the eve of the show. Mikki finds a replacement, Jade, who identifies as being on the autism spectrum. After a couple of misunderstandings, Jade encourages Mikki to do her own research about what being ‘on the spectrum’ means so they can finally start rehearsing

Mikki’s cooler sister Doc Daphne is loving all things French and both Mikki and Mo are desperate to keep up. Mikki’s psych senses start tingling so she decides investigates what peer pressure is all about. Mikki gives Arsenal and Matilda football superstar Lydia Williams a call.

Mo has been ghosted by his gamer buds and he’s pretty bummed out about it, but Mikki is too busy to understand, she’s trying to put together an audition tape for a reality show! When Mikki reflects on the situation, she decides to find out what allyship is all about and gets some help from musician and gaming streamer, Montaigne.

Mo is finding it hard to get along with his mum, Mayor Pam Pamming, and everything she does annoys him. Mikki thinks she knows what he needs to do but it might just be the thing that drives them further apart.

Mikki is having a great day until she arrives at her psychology practice and has a visit from an old toxic friend, Scarlett. Scarlett bullied her when they were in high school but Mikki could never get up the courage to tell Scarlett to stop. Mikki needs to understand how to talk to a toxic friend and how to stand up for herself.

Mo hates trying things for the first time but Mikki loves it. She really struggles to understand why he can’t take the leap. I mean, Himalayan hang gliding isn’t so scary - you just have to give it a go! Mikki makes it her mission to find out what’s holding her best bud back.

Not having clients is really getting Mikki down and she might have to give up her psychology practice. Mikki comes up with an idea to boost business but ends up eating all the promotional goods. Can she learn how to be resilient during tough times with a little help from gymnast and Ninja Warrior, Olivia Vivian?
