Kauza Kramný

More than ten years have passed since the deaths of Monika and Klára Kramná in Hurghada, Egypt, and the father of the family, Petr Kramný, has been convicted of their murder. Their relatives still cannot understand why this happened, because the Kramns seemed like a happy family at first glance.

Petr Kramný gives his version of events, he loved his wife and daughter. After their deaths, he was in shock, alone, in Egypt, where he knew no one, where he could not get along. He recalls the three months when he was de facto locked in one room - and all the time he was trying to figure out how it could have happened.

A closely watched trial begins. Jana Rejžková, a lawyer from Zlín, who is able to defend her client very charismatically, is beginning to represent Kramný. According to her, no crime has been committed. The prosecution is joined by Klára Long Slámová, the attorney for Monika Kramná's survivors, who is one of the best-known Czech lawyers.

Petr Kramný says his marriage was trouble-free, he had no reason to kill his wife. The motive for the crime is being discussed in court, as are the relationships within the family. The Kramns seemed happy, the murder was a shock to everyone. The death of Klárka in particular is incomprehensible.

Ten years on, we return to Hurghada, where the story is still alive. We also go back to the key moments after the bodies were discovered, all indications are that the investigation was not carried out consistently by the Egyptian police.
