Kubankov is eager for his hometown, but his superiors are in no hurry to give him leave. Instead of a vacation, Cuba goes on a business trip with the task of finding the recidivist Trunov, whose former accomplice Kopylov lives in Srednerechensk.

Sadurova is investigating the abduction of the son of a famous businessman. Cuba is trying to find a friend of the groom - a witness to the death of Erica. But suddenly she finds out that the girl died, having been poisoned by singed vodka ...

Cuba learns that Erica had a conflict with Elizarov, a large Moscow businessman who wants to build an incinerator in the city. Cuba asks Novikov to open an official case, but is refused.

Sadurova and Smirnov are investigating the theft of money from the technologist of the bakery Vishnyakov. Cuba is checking the relationship between the producers of alcohol counterfeit Revyakins and businessman Elizarov.

During the next pre-election speech of Tsarev, unknown persons are preparing another assassination attempt on him. Cuba, which is nearby, manages to shoot the killer. Cuba recalls that he saw a killer among Filonov’s close associates.

In the gym they find the body of the athlete Filippov. At first glance, everything looks like an accident, but a more detailed examination shows that Filippov was killed. Opera begin an investigation. Under suspicion is the coach Prokhorov, who is hiding. Cuba finds out that Filippov was associated with the activities of organized crime groups under the leadership of a certain Buza. But getting to the killers is not so easy.

Smirnov has a new interesting case - the theft of a box of elite wine. At this time, in Altai, a friend of Cuba, Anton Granin, manages to go on the trail of Konyukhov. He himself comes to the police when he finds out about the murder of Aglaya. Konyukhov is sure that Eric was killed, but he did not see the moment of the murder. To rent a new apartment, Cuba comes to a realtor Rita, who has tender feelings for him, and sees that she has become a victim of raiders.

On a suburban highway, a young girl Julia falls under the wheels of a truck. Investigating the circumstances of death, investigators find out that the girl was raped, and in her purse they find 200 dollars.

A similar case was six months ago: a student Katya Lunina contacted the police, but then, under the threat of reprisal from the part of the rapist, she took the application.
