Lars Norén turns 70 years old on 9 May. We congratulate him on the day of reprising the movie Don't Try to Understand from 2004. A movie with as current issues as now. Primo Levi's book "Is This a Man?" is a vital reading experience for Lars Norén, both privately and as a writer. Levi sat in Auschwitz at the end of World War II and his portrayal from there became a theater performance under the direction of Norén. Jean Samuel was a camp mate with Primo Levi and still lived in France in 2004. Lars Norén left to meet Jean Samuel. A film by the writer and journalist Elisabeth Åsbrink. 56 min.
