Fausta removes her diplomatic mask when she sees Úrsula storming into her office and, with a fulminating look, warns that she will soon lose all the power she stole from the De la Vega family. Upon learning of Bárbara's arrest, Gerardo demands payment for selling information about the De la Vega family, unaware that Fausta is listening. Taking advantage of Gerardo's betrayal, Fausta takes the final step to silence Gaspar before his secrets come to light.
