Thanks to Isabella's lack of discretion, Fedra explodes upon learning that Fausta nearly killed Gaspar on more than one occasion. Fausta confesses that she fears Gaspar will gain Isabella's trust, as together they could gang up on her and make her lose the only thing that truly matters to her: Eugenio's affection. Unable to ignore him any longer, Eugenio confronts Isabella and questions her about the way she has treated Fausta since Gaspar came out of his coma. Hoping to heal the wounds in their relationship, Isabella arrives at the farm to speak with Eugenio. But her heart breaks when she witnesses the most painful scene: her husband in the arms of another woman.
