At the opening of the trial, Isabel decides to tell the whole truth and manages to move those present by declaring that, for Valentina, she is the only mother she feels protected with. Fear grips Valentina at the thought of being forced to return to Fedra. However, Isabel calms her with a promise: she will never stop fighting for them to be together. Eugenio confesses to Úrsula that his family's worries have overwhelmed him and that he considered abandoning everything just to be happy with Isabella and Valentina. Isabella asks Genoveva to look for Valentina while she prepares for the trial, but fate works against her: Fedra takes advantage of a moment of carelessness and, under threat, takes the girl away.
