Phaedra plans to rescue her daughter Valentina and take revenge on Isabella, but Fausta rejects her plan and assures her that she won't let her harm her granddaughter. Catherine is blunt with Phaedra, assuring her that she never cared about Valentina; she was only interested in her for profit, then begs her to leave her alone. Isabella expresses her concern, as Valentina is angry with her and hasn't wanted to eat since she found out she wouldn't see Eugenio anymore. Isabella allows Eugenio to come to her house to greet Valentina, but makes it clear that the next visit will be on her terms.
