Mister Donut is Japan’s biggest donut franchise; so big in fact, they ran Dunkin Donuts right out of the whole country back in the nineteen-nineties. It’s ok, Dunkies; you’ll always be welcome with Ben Affleck. Trouncing the biggest player in America’s donut industry at their own game is pretty impressive for a Japanese upstart, but turns out, Mister Donut isn’t actually Japanese.
