Genta saved other customers from danger by hitting a rampaging man with a wok in a noodle shop. The man was Kazuo Yamakawa, a game creator. He prides himself on being a "genius," but he was going crazy because he couldn't develop new game software by the deadline. The devil appears to Yamakawa and forces him to make a "contract". Yamakawa accepts the devil's terms and signs the contract.
