A film about some of the most contemporary socialist buildings, which clearly represents political Eastern Europe during the second half of the 20th century. The National Palace of Culture in Sofia, Moscow State University, the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest and the Palata Srbije in Belgrade are unique architectural designs built with a great deal of courage and a touch of madness. The documentary looks for the hidden secrets of the buildings with the help of their architects, past and present leaders and the ordinary people who worked in them.
