Grandma lo-fi (2015x14)
:
At age 70, she began to record music in her living room. When she passed away seven years later, she had released 59 albums and over 600 songs - an eccentric myriad of sounds she picked up from what was at hand: her pets, found toys, kitchen utensils and cheap synths. Sigríður Níelsdóttir is her name, and today she is regarded as a cult figure in the Icelandic music scene with admirers such as Björk, Sigur Rós, Mugison and Múm.
