Sakura is arrested on suspicion of murdering her ex-boyfriend Aoki Sota. Haruto is ordered by Sota's father, the Prosecutor General Aoki Soichiro, to ensure that he wins a guilty verdict, and is assigned to be the prosecutor in charge of the case. Sakura has no alibi, so he urges her to admit to the charges, but she refuses... and in fact, Sakura asks Haruto for his help. Meanwhile, Haruto's childhood friend and lawyer Umehara Ren is asked by Haruto to defend Sakura, a role that no one else wants to take. As Haruto continues his investigation, he discovers some evidence...
