The Hog Deer is a very unique species, and Victoria holds the only huntable population of free range Hog Deer in the world. Victoria's short one-month season throughout April provides opportunities on both private and public land, but the biggest success comes from the private blocks. With Hog Deer being so shy and timid in nature, while they are the smallest species in the country, they present the biggest challenge.
