Fedra meticulously distributes evidence around the house in order to make Fausta doubt her own sanity. Unable to forgive himself for Mauricio's death, Eugenio promises to do everything he can to make Valentina smile again. Eugenio confronts Fedra for leaving his daughter adrift and, without any arguments, she decides to pretend to faint. Valentina's reaction to seeing the photo from Eugenio's company awakens in Isabella the disturbing suspicion that she may have recognized her real mother.
