For two weeks, countries from around the world gathered in the heart of the Third Reich for the sporting event. But while the Nazis intended to turn the Olympics into a gigantic propaganda operation to prove the supposed superiority of the Aryan race, one man would thwart their plans and racist theories: a 22-year-old Black American athlete: Jesse Owens.
