Manuel perceives a change of attitude in his wife. Maria knows he could have killed her in the woods, but he didn't and she is no longer afraid of him. They reach a deal, they decide to deceive Ramón, until the debts of María's family are settled. Afterwards, he promises that he will leave. Justa accuses a certain rejection of Manuel and stirs up the hornet's nest by setting a trap for María. She warns Ramón that perhaps the marriage is not consummating and the landowner decides to take her to a doctor for confirmation. Ramón is furious with Mercedes' poor performance and fires him. Claudia intervenes to support her and it ends up the same. Gabi and Manuel decide to hatch a plan to resolve the conflict between Ramón and the day laborers. The landowner decides to forgive them, but when he discovers that his dog has died of poisoning, he dismisses them all, convinced that it was them. Nicolás escapes, hearing his father and uncle assess his admission after diagnosing him with epilepsy.
