Upon reaching Reflex Point, the group finds the battlefield littered with the remains of a defeated Mars Base unit. The sole survivor is combat photographer Sue Graham, who filmed her comrades' destruction instead of helping them. Sue proposes a new battle plan, but Stick realizes her true motive is to capture more spectacular footage of their potential demise, not to win. The team defies her manipulative strategy and emerges victorious. During the fight, Sue is fatally wounded and dies regretting her actions. The victory is shattered by a shocking revelation. An injury reveals that Aisha bleeds green blood, exposing her as an Inbit. Horrified by her own identity, Aisha flees in tears, leaving her devastated friends behind.
