Santa Claus and his family wake up, a day late! The bad mood is due to the fact that they have not yet received a Christmas letter from a child. Krumme's teacher, Jansen, suggests that the class should make a Christmas play, much to everyone's annoyance except Krumme. Stine thinks that Christmas is overhyped, but is persuaded to go up to the attic to send Grunk's letter to Santa Claus.
