Léonora comes to the meeting alone. Dayan does not want to welcome her without her husband, but he listens to her all the same about her miscarriage. Damien, furious, finally arrives and violently takes Leonora to task. Shortly afterwards, Charlotte, Dayan's wife, makes an announcement to him that is not likely to please him.
