The Toyota Owners 400 marks the 129th Cup race hosted by Richmond Raceway in the series’ history. The .75-mile oval located in Henrico County, Virginia has an asphalt racing surface with 14 degrees of banking in turns 1-4. With 8 degrees on the frontstretch and 2 degrees on the backstretch, this track is similar to an intermediate track but races like a short track. The 2021 Toyota Owners 400 marks the first time afternoon racing comes to Richmond since 2017. For 2021, Richmond Raceway will be celebrating their 75th anniversary. Richmond held its first Cup race in 1953, with Lee Petty taking the win.
