It is discovered that the pistol that appeared in Antonio's house was removed from the police warehouse by Ortiz. Amália confirms that Luís Barbosa once released Joaquim from prison, for drug possession. Joaquim and Portela owed money to Torto, a Portuguese drug dealer, and decide to rob a bank. It was in this robbery that Joaquim was shot and killed.
