The troupe takes New York with a sold-out show, and the stars become the darlings of talk shows, movies, and a hugely successful tour. Millions of dollars roll in from merchandise, with six-packs and biceps adorning calendars in women's bedrooms across the nation. But a moral backlash is brewing in the increasingly conservative 1980s America. And as the Chippendales bank balance swells, the protests intensify, and a dark power struggle ensues.
