Narvestad has always dreamed of a picture of himself with a giraffe. Sister Ruth has a picture of herself with a giraffe hanging on the wall, and now Narvestad wants a better one. He goes to Kenya's savannah, and on the way there he meets with the Masai and gets drunk on gin and tonic for the first time.
