Ladynin finds out that the man who delivered his wife a couple of days before his death was her boss. He insists on meeting with Ilya. Everything turns out to be completely different than Ladynin supposed: no personal relations, the boss is simply concerned about the loss of working documents. A patient with amnesia enters the hospital. The patient is discharged - he has only minor injuries, but he has nowhere to go. Ilya, contrary to his principles, offers a stranger a shelter.
