Police officers in Sunderland respond to the fatal stabbing of 62-year-old grandmother Joan Hoggett, and receive a call about a teenager covered in blood. Meanwhile, detectives work tirelessly to investigate a complicated crime spree, where offenders have stolen a pub jukebox, tip jar and charity box and while attempting to flee police have stolen a car and mugged a passer-by.
