Holidaying alone oil the island of Laggan-Laggan, Hamish is drawn into a twenty-year old mystery which has poisoned the community. Why do the islanders shun Hamish's hosts, the Catholic priest, Father McPhail and his Protestant sparring partner, Enoch McDuff?
