Ken urges Deirdre to attend the Town hall and hold her head up. Ken prints a story about how the Council have decided not to use the Community Centre as a hostel for homeless youths. He feels it vindicated Deirdre as she wasn't at the relevant committee meeting, but she isn't happy. Wendy on the other hand enjoys that fact that her leaks have been printed because, she hate the secrecy and corruption of the Council. Kevin tries to keep Sally from the time trials, but Sally demands her share of the banger as she's put her money into it. Also Sally threatens to take the wheels off the car unless he's allowed a time trial. Finally Alma discovers Mike has joined a golf club and she tells him she knows how to play also.
