Wonders of the Border

On the first leg of his journey, Sean goes wild swimming in the River Wye, explores the world-famous Rockfield music studios and helps with the grape harvest at a Monmouthshire vineyard.

On the second leg of his journey, Sean explores the beautiful Black Mountains, the world-famous book town of Hay-On-Wye and a Mid-Wales mansion with surprising links to Sherlock Holmes.

Sean Fletcher follows the Offa's Dyke Path along the Wales-England border, visiting more than 50 locations along the 177-mile National Trail. On the fifth leg of his journey, Sean meets an inspirational kayaker on the historic Montgomery canal, climbs the sheer limestone cliffs above a border village and joins the volunteers restoring a Victorian railway.

Sean Fletcher concludes his journey along the Wales-England border, and crosses the world's highest canal aqueduct. He also explores North Wales on horseback, and discovers the secrets of an iron age hillfort.
