Upon confirming that there is no evidence that implicates her with the authorities, Romina is determined to unmask Rebeca and Misael, so she writes a letter to José Emilio. José Emilio reads Romina's letter and confirms that Misael is the only one responsible, since he opened a company with the money from the recently committed fraud. Misael, knowing that they are close to discovering him, decides to flee the country, but before he proposes to Rebeca, she takes advantage of an oversight on his part to steal the evidence against her. Agent Corral shows José Emilio and the family images of the person who killed Mónica, they confirm that it is Rebeca and let Misael know. Given what happened to her brother Santiago, Angelli files a complaint against Rebeca for having deprived her of her freedom.
