Christmastime is coming in the outback and everyone there is looking forward to a visit from the good friend Penny the penguin from the South Pole (Antarctica.) Frank and Buster are disappointed and sad when George gives them a letter from Penny bearing bad news. She hurt her wing and won't be able to make the journey to the outback. Though it's dangerous and they've never made such a long flight before, Frank and Buster eventually agree that if Penny can't come to them, they'll have to fly south and bring Penny to the outback. They set off on their flight, leaving Ned and Mitzi in charge. At first, Mitzi sticks Ned on cleaning duties and other menial chores, but Ned makes a discovery that could make him a big hero.

When Ned and Mitzi are throwing a sports activity, George is worried so he made up a story that he'll be ill tomorrow and can't make it. Can the Koala Brothers help George that he is good at something other than delivering mail?
