The Dream Job

A mysterious wealthy man advertises a dream job that sounds too good to be true: to live a life of luxury while managing his family-run business.

The results of the interview are a surprise for everyone, and Qingdong makes his choice.

The siblings are introduced to their new life, but Huishan is not happy and Junfeng hatches a plan to take advantage. Huishan starts to plan a wedding.

Huishan is angry and upset, but refuses to be seen as weak. Junfeng manipulates Tim, Qingdong takes his new family to the beach, and Zijie gets himself in trouble.

Zijie tries to save his own skin by working with Long-ge, Tim hurts Huishan's feelings, and Junfeng secretly plans to carry out a DNA test on Xinya.

Junfeng becomes suspicious of Qingdong and presses him for answers. Qingdong tests Zijie's commitment, Junfeng receives the results of the DNA test, and Huishan hears something upsetting about her relationship with Tim.

Tim's secrets dramatically come to light and Junfeng is offended by Qingdong's defence of Huishan. Lixing receives some worrying news from the doctor.

Some of Qingdong's own past is revealed and he tries to make amends through Zijie. Junfeng's investigations into the family continue, Earthworm is in trouble, and Tim speaks to Huishan.

Huishan and Zijie discover that they are Qingdong's biological children. Meilan storms in to berate Qingdong for seeing Zijie, and takes him away. Junfeng sows discord in the family, making more trouble for Zijie, and Tim pesters Huishan.

Lixing has a frightening brush with danger. Qingdong apologises to Huishan and wants to make amends, Junfeng continues to manipulate Meilan and Zijie, and Bizhi inserts herself into the Zhang household.

Bizhi makes trouble with Lixing and tries to frame Xinya for stealing a ring. Meilan softens her view of Qingdong, and there's hope for Xinling.

Lixing cannot believe he is Qingdong's son, and there is tension between him and Huishan, who is given charge of the project with Wesley. Junfeng begins to include Xinling in his schemes. Qingdong and Xinya meet Junfeng's grandmother.

Junfeng confesses to Xinya and asks her to keep his secret, insisting again that they work together. Junfeng uses Zijie to expose Bizhi's gossip, and Xinya accepts Lixing's affection.

Xinya tells Junfeng that she has no feelings for Lixing. Yongqiang frames Zijie, and Qingdong tries to make Tim leave Huishan alone.

Bizhi begs for Qingdong's forgiveness, but is angry when she hears about his will. Xinling disappears after Earthworm talks to her about Xinya's relationship with Junfeng.

Xinling has been found, but doesn't want to go to Australia. Qingdong's suspicion of Junfeng deepens. Junfeng proposes a plan to Tim and pressurises Xinya, and Zijie gets drunk with Xiaoxue.

Zijie promises to keep his secret with Xiaoxue, but it gets out. Junfeng plans to punish Qingdong. Huishan realises that she has been manipulated, and Xinya sneaks into Qingdong's room to find the DNA report.

Qingdong is upset by the DNA results. Xinling tells Xinya to choose Junfeng over Lixing. Junfeng and Xinya accompany Xinling to Perth for treatment, where she tells him that he is being cruel to Qingdong.

Xinya stops Tim from attacking Junfeng, which leads Junfeng to make a difficult confession. Tim's true motives are laid bare and Huishan hears the truth about Lixing, before a grief-stricken Qingdong is told of Ziyun and Zhang Junfeng's deaths.

Xinya informs Junfeng that Qingdong's condition is critical, hoping he will abandon his plans for revenge. Huishan goes to Lixing with her suspicions about Xinya's relationship with Junfeng, and Xinya tenders her resignation.

Lixing asks Qingdong about his true identity. Bizhi is enraged by Meilan's family status, and recruits Yongqiang to her schemes. Zijie tricks Xiaoxue, but makes an honest declaration of his feelings for her. Qingdong treats Junfeng.

Junfeng makes a surprise announcement to Xinya. Benson has found the mystery man who could be Lixing's father, Meilan notices Huishan's affection for Lixing, and Yiqing begins to suspect Junfeng's motives for being close to Qingdong.

Qingdong plays cupid for Huishan and Lixing, who go to Australia and meet Junfeng and Xinya. Mingde gets beaten up when he is caught cheating at an underground gambling den, and when he calls Bizhi he ends up speaking to Lixing.

Lixing speaks to Mingde and Dayong about his identity. Junfeng apologises to Yiqing. Lixing believes that Qingdong is trying to harm Mingde, and decides to move out of the Zhang house.

Xinya and Xinling are rescued just in time, but Junfeng is suspicious of the accident. Junfeng refuses to believe that Lixing is his half-brother. Qingdong sails out to sea on a boat with Junfeng, but the next day a terrible discovery is made.

Qingdong's body is recovered and the police ask Junfeng for his account of what happened. Qingdong's will is read and Junfeng's identity is revealed. Lixing tries to help Mingde, and Bizhi gets into a fight with Meilan.

The police confirm Junfeng's identity and that he has a strong motive for killing Qingdong. Lixing refuses to go against Qingdong's wishes, and Earthworm starts to investigate Mingde. Lixing finds a stash of handwritten notes.

Lixing reads Ziyun's notes, showing one to Junfeng which fills him with guilt. Zijie has a confrontation with Yongqiang, Lixing visits Mingde in hospital, and Yiqing hatches a plan to ruin Purple Garden. Xinling is the victim of a terrible accident.

Grief-stricken, Xinya becomes suicidal. Junfeng discovers who killed Xinling and why, but the truth drives Xinya away from him. Bizhi confesses everything, which angers Yongqiang. Lixing interrogates Mingde about Qingdong's death.

Terrified of what he has done, Mingde flees. Lixing makes a sacrifice for Huishan. Earthworm decides to avenge Xinling, and Junfeng goes to dramatic measures to prevent a tragedy.
