The story follows a young man named Edgar, who is madly in love with Miranda. To impress her, Edgar begins an apprenticeship with Miranda's father, a mysterious bookseller. During his apprenticeship, Edgar discovers a magic book and hopes to learn a few tricks to win Miranda's heart. However, the bookseller is furious about Edgar's curiosity and turns him into a horse as punishment. Now, Edgar's friends, Doc Croc and Yoyo, must find a way to break the spell and save him.
