In this episode Joe meets Yvonne Ingley, who has recently taken up the challenge of reviving a 1930s semi-detached home. She's got big plans to reconfigure the empty property, but is desperate for some inspiration as to how to best use the space. Joe takes her to meet a couple who have completely remodelled a bungalow leaving them with a home they are very happy with. We find out about a new training scheme that offers apprenticeships for young people while carrying out maintenance work on empty properties so that they can be lived in once again. We also join an empty property officer as he continues his quest to get vacant homes back on their feet again.
