Carolina asks Alonso for help to convince Cristina to forgive her, so they can reconcile as mother and daughter. After a recording Manuel was making in his studio, a mishap causes a conversation between Tamara and Leonardo to be recorded, in which they reveal the pregnancy they had together. Upon hearing this, Manuel is shocked by the revelation. He and his son Carlos set out to expose Tamara, who used the pregnancy to blackmail him and force him to stay with her. Manuel seeks out Carolina to open his heart and confess how difficult it has been being away from her, hoping to obtain her forgiveness.
