Shirato sneaks into Ryo's apartment and trashes everything looking for the 300 million yen, but does not find it. So Ryo goes to sleep over at the club. He and Nonomura get into a lovers' quarrel which turns very ugly. Ryo goes to hang out with Eiko, who he learns is also a prostitute, and Nonomura's ex-wife/abuse victim. Ryo returns to his house to find that Izumi and her state nurse have moved in without warning. Ryo takes Nonomura's wallet and goes on a shopping spree with his sister. Ryo lures Shirato and openly taunts him that he is the thief but Shirato will never find the evidence; Shirato taunts back that Ryo won't live to enjoy it. Ryo then takes the money out of his sister's wheelchair, where it's been for years, and due to bad timing, has to actually physically lay on it to hide it from Nonomura and Hachimura's gaze.
