By 1968, the muscle car wars were in full swing in the USA. Changes for the 1968 Mustang lineup included new powertrains and updates to meet new safety regulations, but styling was mostly carryover from 1967. The 1968 Mustang received a boost from its appearance in the Warner Bros. film, “Bullitt”
