Helena is shocked to see Juan Carlos and discover that he is really alive, enraged she tells him that she hates him and reproaches him that everything was a lie. Carmen confesses to Eugenia that Modesto does not know about her illness. Juan Carlos tries to convince Helena that Plutarco is not the person she thinks he is, Helena gets upset by her lies and swears that she cannot forgive him. Juan Carlos begs Helena not to tell on him to Plutarco, but before saying goodbye to her, he assures her that her fiancé was the one who stole the project from him.
